KEMPINSKI HOLIDAY REVIEWS
Kempinski, Beijing
Quality Time at the Kempinski - Shanin. Date of travel: Apr 2008
I had a terrific business trip to Beijing while staying at the Kempinski. The location in northern Chaoyang is very convenient for a business traveller as many international companies are nearby and the airport is only short ride away. Latter is especially important if you have to catch a morning flight and cannot spend any time in the typical Beijing traffic jam. The hotel has very nice public areas and the lobby in particular is terrific and grand. Lobby lounge is also stylish yet cozy. Same goes for the Japanese restaurant whose sushi and sashimi I really enjoyed. My executive room had everything I needed: A very comfy bed, an adequate bathroom, a large desk, CNN and free Internet access! The facilities are top-notch but the decor is slightly outdated and reminds me of the last decade. However, I spent definitely some quality time at the Kempinski and would spent it again.
