This hotel is superb! Staff are so helpful and honest, the food at breakfast was of a high standard and the evening meals were good though a little pricey compared to outside resturants. We ate out of the hotel on lots of nights for no other reason than a change of venue, the massages are well worth the money, pool was clean with the attendants allways offering shade when required, small tip helps as anywhere in Egypt! Go and you won't be disappointed!

We had our first trip to Egypt and it was outstanding value for money! Though if you're after partying till the early hours Egypt or Luxor aint the place for it, it's a sedate way of life and totally chilled. The Sonesta Hotel was superb and the staff really helpful, the food was of a high standard. We stayed on a B&B basis, the breakfasts were devine! We ate in the hotel restaraunt a few times and it was very nice indeed, go out and try one of the many restaraunts, Snobs and the Ritz were two of the good ones with a really high standard of service and food. All in all Luxor is a fantastic place crammed full of history, we liked it so much we are returning this year, but taking a cruise and the second week back in the Sonesta. Somehow I think we will become seasoned regulars at the Sonesta.
