Went to Athinoula Hotel in September 2007 for one week. Hotel is kept spotlessly clean and offers standard accommodation. There is a great pool, quiet for couples only, staff very friendly especially Michel and Catherine. Breakfast was basic but who cares as you can buy a breakfast if you want and it is lovely! We are going back again this year, can't wait! Kefalos is so lovely and is a great, relaxing holiday!

just stayed at the Athinoula Hotel for 2 weeks, the cleaner is excellent and the rooms are spotless, couldn't fault that! Attitude of the owners daughter was very poor, it was a big effort for her to get up off her chair to serve you at the pool bar. Atmosphere in bar was crap, no music, just them watching the telly. Was he trained by John Cleese from Faulty Towers???

What can you say, the Athinoula is the best hotel in Kefalos, and the family which own it are wonderful. And Kefalos is the best place in Kos!

We had a wonderful time here and will be returning next year in June. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the hotel staff and it was always clean, we just loved it!

I got married in Kefalos in Aug 2006 and had a few friends and family out and we all stayed in the hotel Athinoula. We had stayed there before and the fact that we were treated so well and had such a great time , we decided to come back to Kos to be married. We booked our hotel rooms and we stayed for the whole 2 weeks a large group of us , the family running the hotel could not have been more friendly or helpful and asssisted us greatly in our wedding preperations and also on the day itself , we had a meal and the family turned the poolside bar into a lovely reception area with flowers and tables and drinks , we went a bit different and had a large barbeque for our wedding meal , we had a local band play music and we had some Greek dancing displays put on by the family , this was a truly memorable night with lots of singing and dancing , I would recommend this hotel to any one and I will be returning back there this year again , not only to see the lovely island of Kos , but also to continue the wonderful friendship we have struck up with the owners , who are in my opinion , the most generous and accommadating hotel people I have came across in all my years of travelling.

Athenoula Hotel is were we stayed. The family run hotel was nice. We were booked in via Hays Travel for bed and breakfast. When we went for breakfast in the morning it consisted of 6 slices off bread, 4 sachets off jam, cup of tea or orange juice. When we asked why there was no full English breakfast we were told that Airtours had cut their money. We ended up paying 5 euros each for our breakfast most mornings. Surely this should not be allowed to happen? Tour Operator: Airtours
