Just returned from a 4 week stay in India and had wonderful experiences in every accomodation we chose, except our last one! Unlike its web description, our room was hidden off in some corner, right next to an apartment of very noisy neighbors whose voices, arguments and smells permeated our room. The windows overlooked an airless shaft, and the furnishings were leftover whatevers. There was only one blanket for two beds. Our complaint was met with faint surprise at our disappointment at our "standard" room! But as I pointed out, nowhere on the website did it note that "standard" rooms were consigned be dull, inhospitable and noisy. After talking to several uninspired and uncaring staff, we ultimately obtained a mumbled concession that perhaps they will need to attend to their website...
The Haveli is otherwise beautifully maintained, the dining area is on the top two floors and as long as we were out of our room, it felt full of promise.
We arrived on an early plane, and unlike the other wonderfully accommodating 9 hotels we stayed in while in India, this was the only one that had no room available for us upon arrival.
I would skip this hotel but opt for a stay in Udaipur.
