We stayed here on the first two nights of our honeymoon. The Mount Nelson Hotel really lived up to expectations, it the perfect place to unwind - despite being quite a large hotel it feels intimate. The gardens are green and tranquil, and there's a large swimming pool where you can sit around during the day, being waited on hand and food, but not hassled. The restaurant and Planet Bar are great, but the hotel is also well situated for for Cape Town's other attractions. Its off Kloof Street where you'll find lots of good shops - galleries, interiors, jewellers etc - and some of Cape Town's best restaurants and bars. The Waterfront and Camps Bay beach are only a few minutes away in a taxi, and the hotel will organise wine tours etc. Although these places are great, it is nice to be away from the crowds and touristy shops etc. Looking forward to our next trip to the Mount Nelson.

During a recent visit to Cape Town I stayed at the Mount Nelson Hotel. As a frequent visitor to the worlds' top hotels, this hotel ranks amongst the very best. Situated in lush gardens, only minutes from the city center, it offers the discerning traveller a haven of respite in the most luxurious style. There are 3 restaurants to choose from, plus a poolside Bistro, and several bars. Tour Operator: self
