I travelled to Cape Town from London for business last month and stayed at the Cullinan Inn in the centre of the city. I travel a lot for business and one of the worst things that can happen is ending up in a crummy hotel, which leaves you knackered for any busy work days, especially after a relatively long flight (even though business class). I lucked out, however. The Cullinan Inn is superb - excellent staff, clean and very comfortable room, good food. Didnt get a chance to use the pool, but looked nice. Perfect location (and esp. for those with more sightseeing time than I had). Very close to the Waterfront, the centre of town with plenty of bars and restaurants etc. Cape town is a remarkable city, though driving can be a bit hairy! Definitely will return and Cullinan has my vote. (try Calcaccios (sp?) pizza nearby - really good).
