Guanabara Park is a very clean friendly place to stay, helpfull staff, lovley heated swimingpool cleaned every morning by a team,internet access, rooms great for price payed if not a little tired, wonderfull views, no noise from nightlife etc..join in the games in the evening with the dj russ drink or nominate good clean fun. good for familys, all nationalities there, not one cockroach seen in fact no insects at all, will be going back again cant wait.

Nice to have the choice as to whether you want to join the party or not! Set in a cul de sac on a top of a hill meant that although one had have your walking shoes on, it was lovely and peaceful. We loved the "welcome packages" in our rooms when we arrived, nice touch for a self-catered place and makes one immediately feel like they care. Clean and neat and well kept apartments, with a little shop (though more expensive than the supermarkets down below). the best is that the taxis are so cheap and you can always get one so not a hassle to get around. and down to the beach or the bars. Helpful staff make a difference. my husband and I had a wonderful time and if we manage to come back to this part of the world, we'd definitely try and stay at Guanabara again.
