We stayed in August/September '07. (family of 8 - 4 rooms). The hotel was dirty, never dusted or vacuumed once. Five people cut their foot on glass by the pool during the fortnight we were there, all they did each mornng was a cursory sweep around the pool, ill fitting carpets in all of our 4 rooms, small one-inch step leading out of bathroom, hardly big enough to notice but certainly hurts the toe. External fire escape blocked and two fire extinguishers below pressure, told rep but extinguishers not attended to whilst we were there.
Now the big one......£25 PER WEEK! For air conditioning, so much for "a small charge" payable locally. Manager said despite rising electricity costs they haven't raised the price for 10 years, so God help those who were ripped off 10 years ago. Paid in sterling, but they wouldn't give receipt in sterling, only Turkish Lira (I needed receipt for official complaint I am going to make).
Staff, mixed attitudes, but lady receptionist (forgot name) very good and pleasant, evening barman (Kennan) an absolute star. Don't bother with the evening barbeque.

We are just back from a 2 week stay at the Pinar Hotel. When we booked this hotel and read some reviews my partner and I thought, what have we let ourselves in for?
The most off putting thing with this holiday was the transfer time from the airport to the hotel, 2 hours 20 minutes (with 10 minute stop) but it was worth it.
Hotel was very clean, don't understand why it was rated a 2 star, towels were changed every 2nd day along with the beds and the maids were in cleaning every day. Although there wasn't much room around the pool area, we still found it adequate and didn't find ourselves setting our alarms to book beds, there always seemed to be some spare.
Excellent restaurant down the road from the hotel called 'Big Bens' that cook traditional British food, although be aware that the Sunday roast requires to be booked in advance and I can highly recommend it, up the road there is a kebab shop which does excellent chicken wraps (can't miss it, has a massive England flag outside it).
Staff at the hotel are very friendly and alway happy to help. The barman at night (Keanan) just made our holiday, there isn't any entertainment at the hotel, but he is entertainment himself and loves British people so he can practice his English (and he loves playing chess).
The hotel is very close to the beach, about a 10 min walk, the only problem was the heat, the temperature was roughy 46 degrees by day and 32 degrees by night (lucky we paid for airconditioning which isn't dear, roughly £25 sterling).

What a charming place with wonderful amenities and a smashing pool. I've never been to Greece before and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a villa or some sort of quiet private place just to chill.
