Had the most fantastic time, everything we needed was there. We saved a fortune doing it all ourselves such as booking direct with www.hisaronuholidays.com and booking our flights direct with www.xl.com it worked out so much cheaper than a package deal.

This year will be our third stay at the Lycian Apartments. From the minute you arrive at Dalaman airport you are looked after with courtesy. An air-conditioned minibus takes you to the complex (about a 40/50 minute drive) and last year our driver even stopped off to buy bottles of water for us and the kids! On arrival your bags are taken to the apartment, which is huge by any standards. We had a gorgeous view of the pool and the surrounding mountains. Everything is provided from a kettle to a washing machine. Ours even had supplies for making a coffee on arrival...even fresh milk in the fridge. The complex is not too crowded so there are always plenty of sunbeds (you don't have to get up at daft o clock to bag one!) The pool is a good size with a shallow end for kids and a splash pool for little ones and is set in well kept gardens. The three restaurants (Shine Indian, Mama Mia's Italian and the Ottoman Grill (formerly English Rose) are excellent value for money and the food is to die for - freshly cooked and loads of it. The cocktail bar is open til late (you can't hear a sound in the apartments though). The staff are wonderful. Tugba, the receptionist since last year will help with any queries you have and Zola, the bar manager is a really good laugh. A plus point is that while most of the accommodation in Hisaronu is set on the hillside, these apartments are located on the flat and are central to all the resort amenities. Tip: Reception tend to close around 7.30pm but you can cash your travellers cheques in the jeweller's shop next door commission free.

First of all a big thank-you to Lisa & Neil for making available this fabulous apartment. From walking out of Dalaman airport we were greeted by a staff member from the Lycian complex and taken to the resort of Hisaronu in their own air conditioned mini-bus. After about 50 mins travelling we arrived at the Lycian and were greeted by Terri and the staff and or luggage promptly taken to the apartment.
Lycian complex & Hisaronu.
This was our third time in Hisaronu, for years we went to Icmeler / Marmaris, but we like Hisaronu better. The Lycian complex is one of the best examples of Turkish hospitality. Over the holiday you get to know all the staff who can’t do enough the make you holiday the best. One big advantage of staying in this apartment is the 20 percent discount card you get to spend at the Lycian restaurants & bars. Think about it, one fifth off you bill (over two week it’s a lot).
Three fabulous restaurants, English Rose (English), Mamma Mia’s (Italian) Shine (Indian)
Note one night we came back at 11:30pm to dine at the Indian we had just missed out it had been closed 10 minutes. We told them we would see them tomorrow then to our surprise he reopened the restaurant, lights on, staff back in the kitchen, for three of us (where else?)
The Lycian bar at the front of the complex is a very vibrant bar serving cocktails and entertaining to the small hours of the morning (please note that although the apartment is very close to the entertainment you can hear a pin drop in the apartment) The nightlife in Hisaronu is very varied from Afrescos bar playing 50s / 60s music to the club atmosphere of Zombies (I’ve been a dj for 27 years trust me).
During the day a mixture of pool / beach.
The pool is a large size and because of the amount of apartments uncrowded with ample sun beds, parasols; Shallow 3 ft to the left, 6 ft shelf in the middle to 8ft+ to the right, there is also a shallow children’s pool, a pool bar serving drinks & food from the restaurants all day.
The beach is about 10 minutes away in olu deniz, get to it by dolmus (mini-bus) or taxi (both outside complex) or as we prefer go to the Lagoon (Billy’s beach) we ring him up and Billy collects us from the complex then when we want returns us free of charge, only condition is to hire his sun beds & parasol @4 tl each for the day (peanuts) and the prices of drinks and food are the same as anywhere.
Days out we did this year
Jeep safari is a must, pick up @ 8:00am drop off @ 19:30 £12 quid for all day plus lunch. Also 12 islands boat trip from Fethyie 10:30 pick up drop off 18:30 £7.00 plus lunch. When we stayed in Hisaronu 12 other family members were staying at the Pine hills Hotel. Neighbours were staying at the Ata hotel and other friends of our were staying at the Tellemosos,
Last year I stayed at the Destan Hotel, Asena village Resort & the Blue pearl Hotel, all of these people over the two week came and saw the apartment and was very impressed (and jealous). If you have any questions about this apartment or Hisaronu I’ll be happy to help. Tour Operator: Excel

Wow, I must say the pictures in the brochure look great but you have to be there to fully appreciate the the luxury and location of this apartment.
View from the apartment
When first walking into the apartment you are over whelmed by the size of the place.
Living area / kitchen Huge with two double bed settees full size T.V, DVD player & Satellite. Full kitchen plus washing machine & everything you could need & more. Double glazed door leading to a very large balcony with table & four chairs
Master bedroom Full size double bed, dressing table / mirror, ample storage, double wardrobe, drawers, bedside cabinets etc. Another double bed settee (should you need it). Another double glazed door leading to another very large balcony with a smaller table + two chairs. For security / privacy all doors have locks fitted.
Second bedroom 2 x two bunk beds (making four single beds), double wardrobe drawers + table.
Bathroom unlike most hotels (where you sit on the toilet with one foot in the shower) this bathroom is very large with everything spaced out conveniently, shower cubicle with double screen . large basin with shaver point, mirror etc.
Overall the apartment can house 6 people comfy (8 if you know each other well) it is a joy to stay in and it’s air conditioned with a steel front door and a lock system Houdini wouldn’t break.
It is Home from Home.

What can I say, I have travelled around and this complex is by far the best I have ever stayed in. The apartments are spotless and huge .The staff are so amazing Terri is the perfect host -she deals with everybodys problems and makes sure your stay is perfect, shes a diamond.
The nightlife around the complex is excellent there is so much to do. There is what i call a strip of bars and restuarants directly outside the complex, but i must say you hear nothing from your apartment. The complex has its own bar and three first class restaurants, in my opinion the best Hisaronu has. Transport is directly outside your apartment so dont hesitate you can see lots of other places on your stay in Turkey. Tour Operator: A1 travel
