Just came back from club hotel Diana, I went with Vision Holidays. They were a great tour operator with lots of trips and freebies - we went on 6 trips for less than £70. Very good, would strongly recommend having a Turkish bath at Armutulan (free with Vision hols), Cleopatra island and a Dalyan mud bath.
Now for the hotel, we arrived on Saturday 11th August, shown to our room on the 4th floor in the all inclusive block. Absolutely lovely room, ok it was little and drainage was poor when having a shower, but the air conditioning was a Godsend and really comfortable.
This hotel does not do the whole all inclusive board very well at all- in fact it is disgraceful. Breakfast served between 8:00am and 10:00am, lunch 12:30pm - 2:00pm and dinner 7:00pm - 9:00pm. With snacks being served from 2:00pm til 5:00pm and ice-c ream for just half an hour 3:30pm - 4:00pm. I wouldn't say that I am a fussy eater really, in fact the food was not exactly gourmet but you couldn't starve. If you like rice every day then you'll be fine - the hotel seemed to cater more for Russian visitors. With me just having a boiled egg for breakfast most mornings. I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and I began to feel very ill 4 days into my holiday with sickness and diarrhoea. This I put down to the food. There are flies everywhere in the restaurant, they do not change table cloths on the tables, just measly sweep them and the food is cold. We heard two horror stories whilst there. One there are lots of insects on salad - this was true, salad was not kept on a cold plate in fact, I'm sure they keep it there til it's eaten and another story was that a GUN bullet was found in a ladies serving of pork. Ewww. That put me off for sure. In terms of drinks - we were not told til the next day after our arrival that we would need an all inclusive card for our drink as well as an orange wristband. On the side there are dispensers of different flavoured fruit juices and water. They were very cheeky with this as this was filled up with local tap water which made everyone very ill. At least 40 people during our stay had the same symptons of sickness and diarrhoa. I am just pleased that I took a supply of Immodium otherwise I would have been buggered.
As part of the all inclusive package you do expect entertainment. As far as I am concerned this did not exist. Every day they played the same CD, did water gym and one pool game and that was your entertainment for the day. In the evening there was a mini-disco for the kids and that's it really. The evening entertainment was in the self catering block and as we could not take drinks over from the bar we felt pretty left out.
The swimming pool - a complete joke - very, very deep no markings so if had children would be on tender hooks all the time. The swimming pool was never once cleaned out whilst we were there, there was no filteration system and often you were swimming and hair was sticking to your hands. It was disgusting around the pool. For drainage there were holes and pieces of drainage all over the place. The flooring around the swimming pool got very slippery and there is part near the water slide where the flooring is uneven and has holes - a real health hazard. In fact our last evening I was taking pictures and within five minutes workers started replacing tiles - it's amazing what a camera can do! The toilets around the pool are disgusting and you get locked in them. The baby pool is disgusting. Too small, too deep for young children. Also electrical wires hang out from pool and barrier to separate big pool and little pool was broken so children were actually falling into big pool.
The staff - very rude not helpful absolutely hated the English. If you are ladies on your own or have young little girls please be careful they have a tendency to touch you up and kiss and touch your kids which made many of the children very upset. We were asked out twice on a date by the same waiter and then asked if we would marry him - yes you heard that right!
The last day of our holiday was a complete joke. Had to depart from room at 12:00pm handing in our safe key and all inclusive cards. Yup you got that right you hand in your cards so you are no longer entitled to drinks from the bar, just drinks from the drinks dispenser which made me ill. Also no decent courtesy facilites - we had the shower around the pool or a shower in the Turkish bath area which to be honest, I wouldn't shower my dog in. In the end, with enough complaining, I managed to get a room at 4:00pm for an hour for a shower - which I was thankful for.
This is supposed to be a family hotel. They do not cater for this at all, in fact every night there were hotel 'guests', well prostitutes, waiting on the doorstep to give your fellas a 'good time' and if you really want to know I believe the going rate was Turkish Lira. There was also a transgender guest - a man being transformed into a woman. Walking around with just a thong on with womanly features and wearing female clothes really disgusting.
I do not want to scare anyone about this hotel, just want to inform everyone and be very truthful to you all. It truly is a dump and should be shut down.
