Had a great week at the Maris Beach Hotel, the room was clean with a great sea view, the food was really basic but ok, don't expect half board like you would get in Spain as it doesn't compare, it was lovely to just relax on the beach opposite and have the bar staff bring the drinks over....The staff were great, they worked constantly to make sure that everyone was ok and catered for - bless em....The Turkish people were in general all great, very friendly, we would be happy to go there again.

Just returned from holiday in June 2008 and had a fantastic time at this hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful (hello Max, TJ and reception staff) and the hotel is very clean. Just outside is a private beach where there are free sunbeds. Additionally, towels and lilos are provided. We travelled with a five year old child and the staff went out of their way to make the holiday fun for him, such as providing a birthday cake and making him feel very special. The Venus Beach Bar below the hotel closed at 1am and no sound could be heard from our first floor room above the bar once the door was closed. The hotel is close to the waterpark and other entertainment. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Marmaris.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in in the Marmaris area for the last 15 years! The hotel is really cosy. I will definitely go back to Maris Beach Hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also great location just in the middle of Marmaris and Icmeler.

Just returned from a week at the Maris Beach Hotel with my brother. The location was ideal, right on the seafront towards the middle of the resort. Literally stepped out of the hotel and onto the private beach where sunbeds with umbrellas were provided free of charge (providing you bought your food and drink at the hotel beach bar). Staff all as mad as hatters, especially Ozzie on reception but were extremely helpful and worked hard (special mention to Max and TJ). Breakfast was basic (bread, cereal, coffee, juice etc) but what you'd expect. The Venus Beach restaurant belonging to the hotel was excellent and we ate there every lunchtime and 3 out of the 7 nights and never had a bad meal. Prices weren't cheap but were by no means expensive. We were fortunate to have a top floor (5th) room overlooking the sea and the whole bay - it's worth negotiating which room you get as depends on whether your Ozzie's friend as to where you get put. All rooms benefit from air-conditioning and a safe which are payable in advance on arrival. Only problem was got woken up by the sun shining into the room every morning at around 6am as there was no black-out curtains - won't complain at fact that we were woken up by the sun however. There weren't many children staying at the hotel and I'd guess there's maybe not a great deal to keep kids amused but other than that there were people of all ages staying the week we were there and everyone enjoyed it. Would recommend to anyone.

Maris Beach is a great hotel on the beach. l can say it is the best three star hotel in Marmaris. Great location, great staff and management.

Maris Beach Hotel is the best hotel we have stayed in 12yrs. Found drinks one of dearest. Max & TJ very helpful on beach. Watch the day rec guy on arrival. We were charged 30ytl each for Turkish night & it was 25ytl. The rooms were of very high standard & the cleaner did a great job. The food in the restaurant good. But will not go back to Turkey after 3 times a year as it has got very expensive. Soft drinks on beach took a lot of our money. Stayed 11th to 25th June 2008.

I was in Maris Beach one week ago and I fall in love in Marmaris, Maris Beach and all Turkey. Hotel is situated near main street where you can eat greatest food and not only Turkish food!!! Hotel is really clean and good and people who work there always help you in everything. Special kisses for every guy who works in Venus bar/restaurant- I love you guys really!!! So in one word: You MUST go there!

Just got back from a weeks holiday staying at Maris Beach hotel, we were really happy there. We had a beach front room on 4th floor which was very clean and tidy. Ozzy in reception was brilliant as well as the rest of the lads in reception. He was always making us laugh and very helpful. The weather was too hot for us to sit on the beach but then again it did hit 51 degrees one day!!!! But everyone that could stand the heat was well looked after by the Venus bar lads. Breakfast in the hotel was basic but enjoyable. The Venus Bar had a great atmosphere and the food was spot on there. But it was the lads in the Venus Bar that kept us coming back as they went out of their way to make us have fun... Cash and Tom stood out to us because they were really nice. We liked the Belly Dancer hee hee!!!! All in all a fantastic time at the hotel, however Marmaris in general was an expensive place. In general £2 - £2.50 a pint not 80p a pint like we were told before we went.

Maris beach was very clean, staff was excellent. Staff in the downstairs bar was great fun, they did not hassle you if you wanted to go to any other bars. They were there to help you.

My husband & myself have been going to Marmaris twice a year for the last 13 years & have stayed in many hotels, but we can honestly say that this has been the best ever. We hadn't booked the Maris Beach Hotel, the travel company had changed us when we arrived which we weren't happy about because we didn't know it, but what a big favour they did us. We cannot fault the hotel at all, the staff were fantastic & could not do enough for you. The rooms were lovely & food delicious at the Venus restaurant at the front that belongs to the hotel. If anyone knows Marmaris, the hotel is on the beachfront next to the waterpark, the location is brill. We intend to go back to Marmaris yet again next year & will definitely be staying at the Maris Beach Hotel.

My husband and I received our honeymoon as a present after our wedding so were not sure where we would be staying or what to expect. Having been to Marmaris many times I can honestly say this was the best hotel I have stayed in. The location is great and the staff are fab, in fact we loved it so much we are returning in 2008 with the rest of our family for our first wedding anniversary.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was just basic like most of the hotels there. Being right on the beach you have no problems getting a sunbed and beach staff very friendly.

I have just returned from Maris Beach and it was brilliant! It was situated in the ideal place and the staff was great!!!! Only problem was you had to pay for air conditioning and that was essential at that time of year cos it was so hot!! Only £3 a day though so can't grumble! I would recommend it!

The Maris Beach Hotel is clean and the staff, generally, friendly. If you opt for breakfast it's a simple affair but good and filling. Main problem is the location. It is right next to Faros night club / beach bar which plays incredibly loud music until ~2am and then just loud music from then on. The only way you can sleep is if you shut the doors / windows and, having paid £21 extra, turn on the air conditioning. If you're not going to be in your room at night this may well be a good hotel for you...

We arrived at Maris Beach Hotel in September 2006 not being able to find any reviews so were a bit dubious. We needn't have worried, we had a lovely room, high floor with fantastic views over the sea. The hotel is in an ideal location for walking to Marmaris and Icmeler. The staff were helpful and friendly and the restaurants were only a stones throw away. We are thinking about returning in June 2007 and would struggle to find a nicer hotel in such a location. A thing to note though is you have to pay extra for safe deposit box and air conditioning so bear this in mind with your costings.
