Book early in July and August to get a room at this very popular Scottish B&B. If you have travelled in Asia and yearn for a a slightly more quirky, relaxed and good value watering hole, you have now found it. A lot of the B&Bs are so groomed, you feel out of place....maybe good for the oldies. Hillview Cottage has loads of space: 2 lounges and big rooms with high pressure showers and heating/tv etc. All this at a budget price should not be missed, but book in advance for longer stays as he books up pretty quick. Great value and half the price of Edinburgh B&Bs - Festival goers. Date of travel: Nov 1999
We were going to the festival and tattoo but struggled to find anything resembling B&B at a sensible price. We found this Stirling B&B and thank we did. This is how B&B should be....friendly and in someone's home. Felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Good service, good rooms and an interesting, and interested host. He gave good advice on all sorts of stuff....transport, things to see and even a good restaurant in Paris!!
