Venice, Italy - Mike. Date of travel: Mar 2008
Venice is a great magical city however during high season May, June, September, October is really crowded and more expensive, so I would strongly suggest to stay on winter period, more calm and relaxing.

Venice, the most spectacular city - Pam. Date of travel: Jun 2006
I have visited Venice four times in the last seven years. It is the most spectacular city I've ever been privileged to visit. Be sure to go to the top of St. Marks Cathedral to see the original horses, and go out on the roof & take pictures of the square & of the Adriatic. The Florian Cafe is the oldest drawing room in Europe, and well worth the expense to sit & listen to the orchestra while drinking a glass of vino in the evening. Expect to pay a hefty price, but alas, you are on vacation! Stay on the Lido to save money, and take the boat across, which is only about a 10 minute ride.

Venice - Gill Brierley. Date of travel: May 2006
I visited Venice at the beginning of May in both 2005 and 2006, enjoying warm sunny weather for my 4 night stay in both years. Booking no frills flights to Marco Polo airport and travelling by local bus and Vaporetto to and from my hotel make this a cheap holiday in the most wonderful city in the world. Join the crowds at St. Marks and the Rialto Bridge, or turn a corner and wander at will away from the bustle. Tour Operator: Independent

Beautiful Venice - Bill. Date of travel: May 2006
We had a wonderful visit to Venice - aside from our terrible hotel. Could have ruined our trip, but we have so many wonderful memories of the sites we saw and food we ate. Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We loved Doge's Palace, St Mark's Square, riding the vaporetto's, strolling through the streets and allies. The Peggy Guggenheim museum is a definite must-see for contemporary art lovers! Our hotel experience was one black mark on an otherwise perfect stay . . .

Venice is a place you must go and visit. It has something to offer everyone of all ages and is ideal for a short city break. Shopping is great especially for desinger goods!Be prepared to haggle for a bargain though! There are many places to eat however it can be expensive. Water taxi's are the best way to get around and are very reliable.
