Mediterranean Coast
As jaded Europeans move ever further east in search of the ideal holiday, Turkey’s Mediterranean Coast is drawing the crowds to its modern resorts, which are sited cheek by jowl with traditional fishing villages among the coves and sandy beaches, washed by aquamarine waters and warmed by endless sunshine. Inland, the landscape is redolent withmore

Gullet sailing from Bodrum - Henry Pitman. Date of travel: Oct 2007
We rented a gullet from Bodrum. What a great way to have a family holiday. We went with one other family. The gullet was very comfortable - 4 cabins, all with showers and 4 crew. Delicious food (lots of fish, great lamb, vegetables) and very pretty scenery. lots to do for the children - swimming, snorkelling, fishing off the boat etc.
My Favourite Holiday - Scousemouse. Date of travel: May 2007
My Favourite Holiday
We love the walks and views from the mountains and the nightlife in Hisaronu and the fantastic beach at Olu Deniz, we love the sports and activities available for reasonable prices, as well as the wonderful boat trips from the beach. The choice of food is great but most of all we love the friendliness of the people!

Turunc, near Marmaris, is a fantastic place if you're looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. It's a small village (with it's origins in fishing) that's stayed unspoiled, small and friendly. It's set in a small bay with a backdrop of spectacular mountains (which means it can never become over- developed). There are plenty of small hotels and apartments, a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops. It's very peaceful but there's still plenty to do whether it's boat trips - which are great - water sports, trips inland or going to somewhere like Marmaris for the big markets or clubs. It's difficult to describe how nice it is (and part of the fun is so many people go year after year so you always meet old friends) but they do have a web site thats got a really good virtual tour so you can actually 'walk' through the village (I use it when it's cold and raining as a reminder of the sun). Try it at www.turunc-village.com it's better way for you to get an idea of the place than any words I can put here. Tour Operator: Custom Tours
