Ketchum - Chad. Date of travel: Mar 2008
I love Ketchum. It does have a lot of wealth which can be unattractive to some. It can feel very high class and who's got the most expensive fur coat. But as one who doesn't wear fur coats I found my place there. The wealth also brings in free events and fun people watching. The town is in a valley with 3 mountain ranges rising to it's sides. Skiing in all it's various forms is the big winter thing here. What I love about it is the mountains though. I camped within them and was walking distance to town, groceries, and bars. Up north an hour are the Sawtooth Mountains. Jagged and remote. I don't want to list all the outdoor activities, just know they are all happening here.
