Acadia National Park - Chad. Date of travel: Aug 2008
I dig Acadia. I spent a month there. I'm usually accustomed to the more drastic landscape and fewer people of the Rocky Mountains, but I still enjoyed Acadia. They have a free bus system centralizing in the town of Bar Harbor. I don't bike but I saw the path system there as a haven for all you peddlers. The woods were cool but the coast line is what I liked the most. Volcanic weirdness making the rocks unique. They have a sandy beach there too. And a sandy beach in Maine is a novelty. The coastal breeze can ward off the black flies and mosquitoes that can get a bit intense at times.
