Villa Tenazinha is close to the fishing village of Olhos de Água, the golf course of Sheraton Hotel, Açoteias and the magnificent Falesia beach. At Olhos de Agua we recommend the restaurant Ambrosia & Nectar.

Book up for the Monchique mountains trip, book in town at the off sales 1/2 what the tour op. charge and the same trip anyway. Our hotel was top of cliff and steps down to the beach but well worth it when you get there, and there's a bar/restaurant on the beach. The road back to the hotel is a drag but not too bad. It's not the sort of place to go to every year but they are building fast so dont delay before it loses atmosphere.
