My husband and I were very fortunate to travek to South Africa in July this year. Had a wonderful holiday at Hluhluwe-Umfolozi park - saw a wide range of animals and birdlife and were especially enchanted by rhino sightings and a very lucky sighting of wild dog (they are INCREDIBLY rare and endangered) - serious treat especially for avid photographers like myself and my husband! Apparently this is one of the biggest parks in the country and there are plenty of routes within the park to explore. We went on a fascinating walk with a ranger (armed with a rifle - not that we saw anything threatening but good to know). Saw giraffe and other buck up close. very informative guide. Nexct time we want to do the hike they offer (3 days). All in all, magical holiday.
