Gorgeous Plett!
Plett is great! The weather is pleasant most of the time with warm sunny days. Fu.shi has more than just sushi, a wide variety of Asian fusion items at extremely good value and the view! Exec Chef Vanie Padayachee came fourth in the Sunday Times Chef of The Year. It is one of Gastronomix Top 10 restaurants on Garden Route! Lots of fantastic accommodation. Plenty of homegrown food items - award winning organic farms, the local sparkling wine farm Bramon, adventure and eco-outings. The annual Whiskey Whales and Jazz Fest in September, the list goes on....

Plettenberg Bay
We spent Easter in Plettenberg Bay, driving from Cape Town. It’s a six hour drive, but worth it if you're going for a week or more. The weather was fantastic for the whole holiday and the water is warm, a nice change from Cape Town. We stayed on Keurboomstrand, which is a empty and upspoilt beach only 10mins outside town. The beach is covered in drift wood after the recent storms which also washed away Lookout beach. There is lots for children to do nearby. The Knysna Elephant Sanctuary is 10km east of Plett; you get to feed the elephants and there are a few babies too. Monkeyland is the other side of Plettenberg, going toward PE; you walk through a fenced forest where you’ll see all kinds of lehmurs, apes and monkeys. Next door is Birds of Eden and there’s also a wolf sanctuary and a water park. Adrenalin junkies can do the 216m bungee jump off the Bloukrans bridge – the other side of Knysna. The polo is Kurland, in the Crags, is also worth going to over Easter or Christmas; it’s a beautiful area and has a good restaurant. Other good restaurants include Enricos - an Italian at the far end of Keurboomstrand. Fu.shi is a newish sushi restaurant above the roundabout at the end of the main street. And Cornutis is a great Italian in town, you can't book so get there early.

Plett - Abi. Date of travel: Jul 2005
A very nice area of South Africa with loads to see and do. Some of the best attractions are within a few hours reach and we would definately urge you to go to Mossel Bay and Outshoorn to see some ostriches! The Cango caves and Botlierskop safari park are amongst our top 5!
